Wilma Whitaker Rhymes, 84, of 1032 Old Norris Road, died Monday, January 5, 2015 at Country Care Assisted Living Center in Fair Play.
Born in Anderson she was the widow of Thomas Rhymes and a daughter of the late Samuel and Gertrude Taylor Whitaker. She was a member of Winding Creek Baptist Church, and was retired from Woodside Mills, Cateechee Plant.
Surviving are three daughters, Ann Radford and Janice Chapman (Harvey) both of Liberty, and Carol Hudson (Carroll) of Pickens; a son, Don Holden (Carol) of Liberty; two sisters, Linda Rhodes (Stanley) of Liberty, and Patricia Knight (Ben) of Cross Hill; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a special grandson, Rodney Chapman.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Williams.
