Memorial services to honor Scott’s life will be 3:00 PM Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
William Scott Hawkins, 53, of 2015 Wade Hampton Blvd, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Anderson he was a son of the late Harold William Hawkins and Shelby Jean Crane.
During his working career he worked as a surveyor, and also as a Paramedic in Union County and later at the Pelzer Rescue Squad.
He was an avid fisherman, who loved being outside and on the water. He also loved NASCAR.
Surviving are his fiancé, Melissa A. Williams of Greenville; a son, Dusty Hawkins; a brother, Greg Hawkins of Six Mile; 3 sisters Genia Bryant of Liberty, Holly McCall of Seneca, and Lamar Bronson of Goldvein, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Hawkins Chapman.
The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Friends of the Reedy River, PO Box 9351, Greenville SC 29604.
