Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mr. Crenshaw will be 4:00 PM Tuesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the service.
William Robert Crenshaw, 82, of 534 Mile Creek Road, died Sunday, March 6, 2011 at his residence.
Born in Salem he was a son of the late Robert Lee and Mary Cantrell Crenshaw. He was a retired industrial sewing machine mechanic, and he also loved farming.
Mr. Crenshaw was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church, where he was the Senior Men’s Sunday School Teacher, and was a former deacon.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred H. Crenshaw of the home; a daughter, Lisa Holder (Rickey) of Pickens; three sons, Randy Crenshaw (Sandra), Roger Crenshaw (Jean), and Aaron Crenshaw all of Pickens; a step daughter, Carolyn McEntire of Pelzer; three step sons, Steve Hughes of Liberty, Donnie Hughes of Gaffney, and Ronnie Hughes of Sanford, NC; a sister, Janie Brennan of Mauldin; 7 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Jane Derrick Crenshaw, a grandson, Eric Crenshaw, a sister, Jessie Winchester, and a brother, Clarence Crenshaw.
