William Ray Edwards, 76, of 406 Davis Road, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Graham County, North Carolina he was the widower of Mary Ann Wilson Edwards and a son of the late Harley B. and Mae King Edwards.
He was previously the owner/operator of Wilson Monument Company and was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Surviving are two sons, Billy Ray Edwards of Central, and Ted Edwards of Liberty; a step daughter, Melissa Smith of Liberty; a step son, Dale Smith of Piedmont; two adopted sons, Andy and Justin Edwards; a brother, Dennis Edwards; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The family will have a graveside memorial service on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Central. No visitation is planned.
