William Franklin “Bill” Murphree

Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Murphree will be 3:00 PM Sunday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

William Franklin “Bill” Murphee, 75, of 205 Sanders Road, passed away, Friday, March 9, 2012 at Cannon Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville he was the husband of Brenda Robinson Murphree and a son of the late James Lyda and Grace Bishop Murphree. He retired from Bi-Lo and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.

He was an avid gardener and fisherman.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Debra Harden and her husband David of Liberty, and Belinda McBride of Liberty; a son, Billy Murphree and his wife, Mary of Easley; three step daughters, Jennifer Bolick of Travelers Rest, Sarah Hatchette of Rome, GA, and Amanda Hatchette of Easley; two brothers, Jimmy Murphree of Greenville, and Lewis Murphree of Simpsonville; four grandchildren, Hannah & Jordan Sims, and Megan & Ethan McBride.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 900 E. Main Street, Easley SC 29640.

The family will be at the home of Billy and Mary Murphree, 204 Evergreen Street, Easley SC 29640.
