Funeral services for Mr. Perry will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Flat Rock Baptist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Calvary Baptist Church.
Thomas Stewart Perry, 91, of 7913 Liberty Hwy. died Friday at his residence. Born in Seneca, he was the husband of Sarah Whitlock Perry of the home and a son of the late Thomas Marvin and Annie Mae Stewart Perry. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was retired from Equinox Mill before going to work at Bi-Lo in Anderson. In his early years he helped build Calvary Baptist Church and was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. He was known for witnessing about his Lord to everyone and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Angela Vaughn of Greenwood; two sons, Michael Perry(Sandra) and Tim Perry, both of Liberty; a sister, Polly Owen of Liberty; a brother, Truett Perry of Liberty; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sons, Ronald and Aaron Perry; and a sister, Myra Dorrity.
