Shelia Ann Evatt Burgess

Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Burgess will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the mortuary.

Shelia Ann Evatt Burgess, 59, of 208 Greenbriar Drive, died Sunday, September 7, 2014 at her home. Born in Greenville she was a daughter of Jo Ann Marchbanks Parsons and the late George Evatt.

She was an R.N. at Majesty Health and Rehab in Easley, and previously worked from over 20 years at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Arial Baptist Church. During her free time she loved to spend time with her grandchildren, and flower gardening.

Surviving in addition to her mother of Easley, are her husband, Jerry D. Burgess of the home; two sons, Josh Burgess (Lisa) of Pickens, and Caleb Burgess (Amanda Walker) of Liberty; two sisters, Theresa Seay of Lugoff, and Phyllis Roberson of Murphy, NC; 10 grandchildren, Savannah, Jeremy, and Zackery Burgess, Austin, Arika, Amrie’Lee, and Tanner Elrod, Jayson Walker, Christian and Allyssa Haynes.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her step father, Jerry Parsons, who raised her.
