Ruth Elaine Sharp, 87, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Monday, July 6, 2020 at Anderson Area Medical Center.
Born in Whitewater, Indiana she was the widow of John Sharp and a daughter of the late Herman and Crystal Lesley Alexander
She was a homemaker and a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class.
Surviving are a son, Tim Sharp , of Richmond, IN; 3 daughter(s), Crissy Arnett (Steve) of Liberty, Joy Sharp, of Cateechee, and Tami Lamb (Steve) of Richmond, IN; a brother, Denver Alexander (Jan) of Richmond, IN; 6 grandchildren, Jeromy Arnett (Chari), Shawn Arnett, Laura Hope (Bill), Valerie May (Andrew), Kim Lamb, and Hallie O’Shields (Patrick); great grandchildren, Emily Smith, Lillie Arnett, Hannah May, Jacob May, PJ O’Shields, and Connor O’Shields; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Vada Arthur.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to United Christian Ministries, 303 Dacusville Highway, Easley SC 29640.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs Sharp's passing. She made mom (and her family) feel so welcomed from the day they became roommates. I loved to sit and talk with her when mom was confused and I just needed a mom to talk to. She was always so understanding and caring when mom was in a tizzy.
I heard all about her family over the last six years. I feel like I know you all. She loved you dearly. I will miss her so much, as I'm sure mom will too. After a couple of weeks of mom moving in, she told me she was having a spend the night party with her sisters.(Mrs Sharp, Mrs Riddle,and Mrs Bannister)
You will be in our thoughts and prayers. May you find comfort in knowing we will see her again in heaven.

Although I never met your dear Mother, I have mailed her a weekly church bulletin for over 7 years - which makes me feel like I knew her. What I loved most about your Mother was the kind notes that she wrote to the church. In one of her notes, specifically she shared of the many fond memories of the days she was able to attend services. Her notes resonated a sweet and grateful heart. She was always so appreciative of the cards that she received from the children of Flat Rock. I could tell from her kind expressions of gratitude that she loved her church and her friends here. I will never forget our trip to visit Grandma Sharp one summer and went to the Cabbage Patch Hospital. She took us to a little mom and pop restaurant that had onion rings the size of our heads. She was always welcoming and was ready for a hug.
