Ruth Ann Stephens Pettit, 91, of 706 Pelzer Highway (Emeritus at Countryside Village) formerly of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Capstone Health & Rehab. Born in Pickens she was the widow of Spurgeon Augustus “Spud” Pettit and a daughter of the late Leonard Pickens and Elvira Elizabeth Stephens.
She retired from Community Drug Store and was a member of First Baptist Church, Liberty.
Surviving are two sons and daughters in law, Noel and Floree Pettit of Easley, and James L., Sr. and Kay Pettit of Fletcher, NC; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Pettit.
