Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Gillespie will be 3:30 PM Saturday at Solid Rock Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2:00 until 3:30 PM.
Burial will be at Norris Cemetery.
Ruby Marie Seaborn Pilgrim Gillespie, 86, of 561 Chastain Road, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Cateechee she was the widow of Thomas Vernon Pilgrim and a daughter of late George Henry and Helen Hayes Seaborn.
She retired from Swirl, and was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Elaine Rowland of Central, Brenda Gilstrap of Liberty, and Sylvia Abercrombie of Sunset; two sons, Tony Pilgrim and Benny Ray Pilgrim both of Easley; three sisters, Patsy Pressley of Liberty, Mary Jo McJunkin of Six Mile, and Connie Seaborn of Easley; a brother, Jack Seaborn of Arizona; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and first husband she was preceded in death by her 2nd husband, Willis “
Bud” Gillespie, and a sister, Bert Brewer, and a brother, Bill Seaborn.
