Memorial services to honor Woody’s life will be 4:00 PM Wednesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel.
Ronald Carl “Woody” Burkhalter, 59, of Easley, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 29, 2011. Born in Orlando, Florida he was a son of Jeanette Carey Burkhalter and the late Prosser Carl “Buck” Burkhalter.
He loved racing and building race cars.
Surviving in addition to his mother are two daughters, Rhonda Hayes and Shannon Harris both of Liberty; three sisters, Poochie Fuller, Leeann Rutz and Donna Ross; a brother, Michael Burkhalter; 4 grandchildren, Torey, Kelsey, Hailey, and Hannah Harris.
Memorials are requested to the Cancer Center of the Carolinas, 3 Butternut Drive, Suite B, Greenville SC 29605, or Interim Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan SC 29334.
The family will be at 703 West 5th Avenue, Easley SC 29640.
