Cole Gentry

Robert Cole Gentry, 21, of Greenville, South Carolina, died Friday, November 25, 2022 at Prisma Health-Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville, he was a 2019 graduate of Wren High School, and was currently employed with MAU where he worked at BMW.

He loved sports including football, and basketball. Some of his favorite teams included Clemson, New England Patriots, and the Boston Celtics. He also enjoyed spending time drawing and was a very talented artist. Most of all he enjoyed being with his son.

Surviving is his mother, Kristy Capps (James) of the home; his father, Tim Gentry (Kimberly) of Greer; a son, Matthew Gentry of Greenville; 2 brothers, Cale Gentry of the home, and Asheton Gentry of Travelers Rest; a sister, Bella Kelley of the home; two stepbrothers, Nicholas Hartman and Noah Smith both of Greer; his grandparents, Bobby and Andra Kelley of Taylors, and Terry and Mary Gentry of Greenville; also surviving are other numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including his uncle Drew Kelley (Brittany), and his two cousins Mason and Averi Kelley.

Memorial services to honor Cole’s life will be hosted by Brookwood Church in Simpsonville.  The service will be held Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at 2:00PM in the Brookwood Chapel.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00PM.  The church is located at 580 Brookwood Point Place, Simpsonville SC  29681.
