Memorial services to honor the life of Ms. Chastain will be conducted 5:00 PM Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Jason Thomas. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 until 4:30 PM at the mortuary. Limited seating will be available and the livestream of the service will be available by visiting her tribute wall at www.libertymortuary.com.

Peggy Myers Chastain, 72, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Butler, New Jersey she was a daughter of the late James and Catherine Myers.

Ms. Chastain was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, spending time with her family, and especially the Atlanta Braves.

Surviving are her daughter, Kaye Thomas (Rev. Jason) of Liberty; 3 sons, Chuck Chastain of Easley, Tommy Chastain (Sonya) of Easley, Kenny Chastain (Tracy) of Morganton, NC; a brother, James Myers of Charleston, WV; a sister, Margaret Myron of Sebastian, FL; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Cumbee (Jared), Erin Dunham (Charlie), Noah Thomas, Eli Thomas, Asher Chastain, and Kaylee Chastain; also surviving is her former husband and friend, Charles Chastain.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers, and three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Liberty Church of God, PO Box 643, Liberty SC 29657. The family will be at the home of Rev. Jason and Kaye Thomas, 101 Lakeside Lane, Liberty SC 29657.
