Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Wood will be conducted 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Berea First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Graceland West Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 until 11:00AM at the church.

Patsy Ruth Forester Wood, 89, of 12 Gabriel Drive, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 27, 2018 at her home. Born in Greenville she was a daughter of the late Henry R. and Lillian Crane Forester.

Mrs. Wood worked in textiles, and then worked as a lunchroom manager for the School District of Greenville County. She was a longtime member of Berea First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Harold Jack Wood of the home; a son, David Wood and his wife Jill of Liberty Township, OH; a sister, Jo Collins of Greenville; three grandchildren, Michelle Ramsey and her husband Curt of Blacksburg, VA, Andrew Wood of Cleveland, OH, and Jennifer Godfrey of Abbeville; also surviving are 6 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kay Wood Graddick.

The family will be at the home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Berea First Baptist Church, 529 Farrs Bridge Road, Greenville SC 29611.
