Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Simmons will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Private family burial will be at a later date. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the mortuary.
Patricia Ann Lesley Oates Simmons, 79, of 816 Johnson Road, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her home. Born in Easley she was the widow of Furman Edward Simmons and a daughter of the late William Harrison and Effie Smith Lesley.
She was an L.P.N. for 35 years between Laurel Hill Nursing Home and Greenville Memorial Hospital. She loved cooking for her family and traveling with them too.
She was a member of Lenhardt Christian Fellowship.
Surviving are three daughters, Cindy Dassinger, Becky Grice, and Patti Sentell all of Easley; a brother, Rev. Franklin Lesley of Pickens; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; two step sons, Kenneth and Steve Simmons both of Pickens.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Debbie Pilgrim and Wanda Oates, two sisters, Christine Atkinson and Edda Sanders, two brothers, Charles and Jim Lesley, and two granddaughters, Denise Summerall and Hailey Wilson.
The family will be at the home. Liberty Mortuary is handling arrangements.
