Funeral services to honor the life of Ms. Skinner will be held at 3:00PM Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:45 PM at the mortuary. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens.
Nellie Kelley Hendricks Skinner, 76, of 831 Winding Creek Road, died Tuesday at her residence. Born in Six Mile, she was a daughter of the late Paul Kelley and the late Clara Bell Holder Todd. She was retired from Sir Shirt Makers. She enjoyed gardening and was a member of Ruhamah Baptist Church.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Rhoda “Sue” Hendricks and Sherry Chapman(Benny)all of Liberty; 2 sons, Cecil Hendricks(Sandra) of Central and Jerry Hendricks of Liberty; 3 sisters, Ruby Todd of Liberty, Judy Collins of Greer and Maude Todd of Pickens; 3 brothers, David, Fred and Richard Kelley; 2 half brothers, Peanut and William Kelley; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Clifton Monroe “Bill” Hendricks; a son, Sammy Lem Hendricks; a daughter in law, Susie Hendricks; 5 brothers, Austin, Junior, James, Bill and Theron Kelley; and 3 half brothers, Mutt Holder and Charles and Eddie Kelley.
