Funeral services to honor the life of Ms. Whitfield will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2022 at Arial Baptist Church. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at the Liberty Mortuary.

Linda Gayle “Wendy” Whitfield, 55, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Prisma Health-Baptist Easley following an extended illness.

Born in Chicago, Illinois she was a daughter of the late Jamie Carl Thomas.

She worked for several years for Better Skills and later the SC Board of Disabilities. Those who knew her knew of her love for music and laughter.

Surviving are her mother, Pauline Thomas of Liberty; a brother, Derek Thomas (Tanya Eckard) of Liberty; also surviving are numerous other extended family members.
