She retired from JP Stevens and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.
JoAnn was a woman of faith who loved people and family.
Surviving are a sister, Marilyn Gillespie of the home; a brother, Jimmy C. Gillespie of Liberty; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews who adored JoAnn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Dobson and Judy Weldon, and a brother, Graham Gillespie.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
The family will be at their respective homes.
