Graveside services to honor the life of Ms. Frances Murphy will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Gap Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Liberty Mortuary.
Frances Kelley Murphy, 91, of Nuthatch Road, died Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Pruitt Health & Rehab. Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late Barney and Ether Freeman Kelley. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Frances retired from Dan River Mills and was of the Church of God faith.
Surviving are her two daughters, Micky Chandler of Six Mile and Debbie Holliday of Central; two sons, Tim Murphy of Central and Jerry Murphy of Dunkirk, NY; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Watts; four brothers, Ralph, James, Billy and Kenneth Kelley; and a granddaughter, Heather D. Murphy.
