Alta Lesley Wilcox, 73, passed away on May 2, 2026 at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Born on September 17, 1952, Alta was a lifelong resident of Liberty. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Willie Grace Lesley, and her sister, Elaine Lesley.

She is survived by her two daughters, Heidi Ravenscraft (Bobby) of Liberty and Melissa Michael (Rami) of Simpsonville; and her five beloved grandchildren: Lesley Ann and Claire Ravenscraft, and Paul, Lydia, and Rachel Michael.

Alta taught kindergarten at Liberty Elementary School for more than 30 years and was a faithful, lifelong member of Golden Grove Wesleyan Church.

Funeral services to honor the life of Ms. Wilcox will be conducted 3:00 PM Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Golden Grove Wesleyan Church. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 until 7:00 pm at the Liberty Mortuary.
