Tamara Lynne Gollach
Liberty, SC
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Tamara Lynne Whitlock Gollach, who departed this world on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on April 5, 1960, in Easley, SC, she was a daughter of the late Herschel D. and Claudia W. Whitlock. Tamara brought joy and warmth to all who knew her throughout her vibrant life.
Tamara, affectionately known for her bright spirit and love for life, dedicated over 30 years as an activities director in the long-term healthcare industry, where she touched the lives of many residents and colleagues. Her love for puzzles and games kept her sharp and brought her closer to friends, including her cherished group of long-time friends, Vicki Brunetti and Rhonda Whitaker, with whom shared many adventures over the years. She loved watching The Wizard of Oz which she watched any time she had the opportunity.
A deeply spiritual person, Tamara found great joy in her church community, where she sang in the choir and connected with others through her faith. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was a devoted wife, sister, mother and grandmother. Tamara is survived by her loving husband, James Patrick “Jim” Gollach; her devoted sons, Aaron (Laura) and Evan Gollach; her sisters, Becky Bagwell (Poss) and Suzanne Koon (Randy); her brother-in-law, Robin Gilstrap; her five adoring grandchildren, Anya, Esmé and Ophelia Hannah, and Adaline and Jack Gollach. She also leaves behind numerous loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a sister, Denise Gilstrap.
A celebration of Tamara’s life hosted by the family will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 2:00 PM at East Side Baptist Church, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and love in her honor.
We encourage everyone to reflect on the joy she brought and to carry it forward in our daily lives. Her legacy lives on in her family and friends, who will continue to celebrate the beautiful moments we had with her. Let us remember Tamara not with tears but with smiles, recalling all the love, laughter, and kindness she shared so generously.
