Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Carver will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, February 3, 2023 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the mortuary.

Shirley Posey Carver, 75, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Prisma Health-Baptist Easley Hospital. Born in Liberty, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Louise Perkins Posey.

Mrs. Carver was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her church family. Most of all she loved to be with her family, and her Clemson Tigers.

Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Bobby Carver of the home; a daughter, Vicky Ayers (Ken) of Liberty; two brothers, Leonard Posey (Edith) of Liberty, and Steve Posey (Peggy) of Liberty; a sister, Evelyn Burton (Donald) of Liberty; 6 grandchildren, Kayla Carver, T.J. Carver (Brittany), Amber Ayers Scott (Kenny), Courtney Carver, Andrew Ayers, and Cameron Carver; also surviving are 6 great grandchildren, Hunter Mathis, Chloe Carver, Rylan Mathis, Cali Carver, Ava Carver, and Braxton Childress.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Timmy Carver, and five brothers, Ronnie, Donnie, Larry, James, and Lewis Posey.
