Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Dodgens will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 13, 2021 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the mortuary.

Shirley Perrine Dodgens, 84, of Central, South Carolina, died Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Oconee Memorial Hospital. Born in Blawnox, Pennsylvania she was a daughter of the late Robert Earl and Margaret Ann Murdoch Perrine.

After raising her children she worked at Rose’s in Seneca for several years and was a member of Gap Hill Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Van Dodgens of the home; a son, James Dodgens of Piedmont; a daughter, Patricia Dodgens of Norris; also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Rebecca Davis and Margaret Ann Clark, a granddaughter, Jasmine Clark, and 2 brothers and a sister.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Gap Hill Baptist Church, 127 Gap Hill Road, Six Mile SC 29682.
