Sandra Coker Owens, 76, of 16 Willard Street, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at her residence.
Born in Pelzer, she was the wife of Homer Lamar “Marcy” Owens for over 55 years and was a daughter of the late Milton and Elnora Rogers Coker.
Mrs. Owens received her Associates degree from Anderson College and retired from the School District of Pickens County Educators Federal Credit Union.
She was a loving wife and mother, but most importantly, she was a child of God. She and Marcy were longtime members of East Side Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband is her son, Brian Owens (Terri) of Liberty, and her daughter, Ashleigh Owens of Easley.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Coker Brown, and a brother, David R. Coker.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to East Side Baptist Church, 920 Anderson Drive, Liberty, SC 29657 or to Anderson County Meals on Wheels by visiting www.acmow.org.

I have not seen Sandra in years but I grew up with her at Big Creek Baptist Church, she was my sister's best friend and we enjoyed playing together and being together for years and years.
