Funeral services to honor Mrs. Fowler’s life will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at the mortuary.  A livestream of the service will be available by visiting her obituary at libertymortuary.com.

Ruth Ann Bryant Fowler, 86, of Liberty, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2021. Born in Liberty she was a daughter of the late Rome and Ollie Owens Bryant.

Mrs. Fowler worked in textiles many years and later worked at Liberty High School. She was a longtime member of Calumet Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Holcombe (Dan) of Norris, and Debbie Stewart (Al) of Liberty; 4 sons, Roy Fowler (Cindy) of Easley, Craig Fowler (Laurie) of Lugoff, Jimmy Fowler (Candice) of Orangeburg, and Larry Fowler of Liberty; two sisters, Joyce Porter and Margie Fowler both of Liberty; also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 18 brothers and sisters.

The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association by visiting their website, www.act.alz.org.
