Rose Marie Black
Easley, SC
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rose Marie Black, who left this world peacefully on April 18, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on July 31, 1953, in Sodus, New York, she was the widow of Curtis Black and a daughter of the late Walter and Ethel Allen Clingerman.
Rose spent her life surrounded by love and laughter. She made her home in Easley, South Carolina, where she touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
She was a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant at Harvey’s Love and Care Nursing Home (now Pruitt Healthcare) for over 20 years. Her compassion for those in her care was evident in every act of kindness she provided, and she truly embodied what it meant to love and serve others.
Beyond her fulfilling career in the medical field, Rose had a passion for crocheting, often meticulously creating beautiful pieces that she eagerly shared with family and friends. To her grandchildren, she was not just a grandmother but a source of joy and unwavering support-her love was a constant presence in their lives.
She is survived by her four beloved daughters: Robin Hutton (Bill), Melissa Smith (Rodney), Billie Jo Hayes, and Tina True; her stepdaughter, Crystal Brown; along with her cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, who will carry forward her spirit of love and creativity.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Black will be held, 1:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2026, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in a private ceremony at Mount Calvary Church Cemetery.
Rose Marie Black’s generous spirit and loving nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We invite you to join us in remembering a remarkable woman who filled our lives with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
