Peggy was a sweet person. I think she was a majorette when I was the mascot or in the twirlers corp at Liberty High. I was in 2nd grade when I started, but there were many that were majorettes with my cousin Nancy Yates (Merck) deceased. Roberta Bowman (James) was another. She is now a neighbor of mine. My condolences and sincere sympathy are sent to Peggy's family.

I am so sorry and although words help, that empty spot in your hearts will take time to heal , God will help you through it. Peggy would play games with Charlotte and I when we were much younger. We didn’t realize it at that time but the games were educational. You had to use your brain like spelling etc. We loved it. Peggy was a sweet lady who will be missed. Prayers and love to all of you!

At thanksgiving (her and papas 70th anniversary) I asked her “How on earth did you get a love to last that long?!” She stared at me for a solid one minute, I thought she didn’t hear me, so I asked again. She stared again. Finally she said “Well honey I don’t think I’m the one you should be asking that to,”. May I never know what it means but I know I’ll always think of her when I think of that question.
