Patsy Seaborn Pressley, passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 82. Born on October 17, 1940, in Six Mile, SC, “Doozy” affectionately called that by her family, was known for her compassionate nature, unwavering faith, and dedication to her family.
Patsy’s journey of life was one filled with love and devotion. Born in the Six Mile Community of Pickens County she was the widow of Tommy Joe Pressley and a daughter of the late George and Helen Hayes Seaborn.
She embraced her faith in the Lord, which radiated through her gentle and caring personality. She was a long-time member of East Side Baptist Church, where she served in the children’s ministry for many years. Patsy had a kind and nurturing spirit, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her warmth and compassion endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
After completing her high school education, Patsy embarked on a career as a customer service representative at Duke Energy. She brought her exceptional people skills and dedication to her role, where she tirelessly served the community. Patsy’s commitment and friendly demeanor left a lasting impact on her colleagues and customers alike.
Patsy’s family meant the world to her, and she cherished the moments spent with her loved ones. She is survived by her sister, Mary Jo McJunkin (Jay Allen) of Central; she also leaves behind two grandchildren, Shaleigha Holcombe (Craig) and Colby Pressley; also surviving are a great grandchild, Esley and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Patsy’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever remember her kind nature, caring soul, and unwavering love.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Neal Pressley, three sisters, Marie Gillespie, Connie Seaborn, and Bertha Brewer, and two brothers, Jack and Bill Seaborn.
To honor Patsy’s life and celebrate her lasting impact, a visitation will be held at East Side Baptist Church on October 11, 2023, starting at 10:00 am. Following the visitation, the funeral service will commence at 11:00 am, also at East Side Baptist Church. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens.
Patsy Seaborn Pressley will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and love will be carried on by those she leaves behind. May she rest eternally in the arms of her loving Savior.
