Nannie Mae Pratt, 93, of Anderson, formerly of Greenville, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Greenville, on January 24, 1931, she was the widow of Burts Bonner Pratt, Jr. and a daughter of the late, James C. and Effie Willis Rich.

She dedicated her life to shaping young minds as an esteemed educator in the Pickens and Greenville County School District, where she touched the lives of countless students. Highly educated, she earned her Master’s Degree from the University of South Carolina, a testament to her commitment to learning and growth.

Outside of the classroom, Nannie Mae found solace and community at Overbook Baptist Church in Greenville, where her faith was a guiding light in her life. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith, which left a lasting impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was the last survivor of her family. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Patrick B. Pratt.

She will be deeply missed by all her surviving nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:30 AM Friday, April 12, 2024 at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the services from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the Liberty Mortuary.
