Joan Rutledge

Joan Moseley Rutledge, 85, of Pickens, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the Cottingham Hospice House. Born in Pickens she was the widow of Thomas Thompson Rutledge and a daughter of the late L.J. and Bernice Galloway Moseley.

Mrs. Rutledge was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, and was the proprietor of The Wood House at Aunt Sue’s Country Corner.

Surviving is a son, John Thomas Rutledge and his wife Amy of Bonneau; a sister, Nathalee Bryant of Liberty; a brother, Jim Moseley of Six Mile; two grandchildren, Sean Rutledge and Ashley Rutledge; two great grandchildren, Elijah and Imani; also surviving is special friends, Rev. Doyle and Julia Barker.

Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Hillcrest Memorial Park. No formal visitation is planned.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 902 Pine Grove Church Road, Sunset SC 29685.
