Hazel Rebecca “Becky” McLean, a devoted wife, and mother passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, at Anderson Area Medical Center, at the age of 75. Born on January 21, 1948, in Liberty, SC, she was the widow of Hugh McLean and a daughter of the late William Ralph and Minnie Lee Alexander Howe.

She fulfilled a successful career of over 25 years as an inspector at Michelin, where she was recognized for her dedication and unwavering commitment. Her attention to detail and strong work ethic made her an invaluable asset to the company.

Outside of work, her passion for cooking brought smiles to the faces of her loved ones. She delighted in preparing delicious meals for family gatherings and was known for her signature dishes that would bring everyone together.

Her greatest joy in life was being a devoted wife to her late husband and a loving mother to her son, Terry Hendricks. She cherished these roles and dedicated herself to creating a loving and nurturing home for her family.

She is survived by her son Terry Hendricks of the home; her brother, Larry Howe (Lynn) of Greenville; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, James Howe, and two sisters, Polly Cantrell and Linda Ernst.

In honoring Becky’s wishes, her remains will be cremated, and her ashes will find their resting place beside her husband at Liberty Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Becky’s memory, as she had a great passion for helping others.

We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Hazel Rebecca McLean during this challenging time. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and strength for all of us.

Mama Becky was a great Mother in Law, but mostly a most loving friend. She had the best smile and quick witted sense of humor. We took the worst situations and found a way to laugh though it. My favorite times together were getting our toes done and going to the mountains. She's a precious soul in heaven and is forever healed. I can see her dancing at Jesus feet. I can see her rejoicing and singing Praises to God. I will miss you so much. I will love you until we're reunited. Tell Hugh and My Mama Hello and I'll see you soon 😊!

I’m so sorry about the death of Becky. We never worked directly together at Michelin but ran Into one another from time to time. She was always a sweet and kind lady. I know you will miss her dearly. Prayers for the family.
