Sending our sincere condolences to Harriet’s family. I worked with Harriet for many years at Liberty Elementary. She was very dedicated to her students, co-workers and the LES school community. She had a great sense of humor and a practical , common sense approach to solving the various challenges she faced as a teaching assistant and the many hats she wore at LES. One memory I have of Harriet…..She was very kind to my boys when they were young and would visit her family’s fireworks stand . She would always treat them well giving them a good deal for their hard-earned money. They were thrilled to come home with a little something extra that she had given them. It’s often the little things that you remember about someone.that makes them special to you. She will be missed. Karen Loflin and family

Tani, Clancy and Andi, We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. We were blessed to have known Harriett for many years as a neighbor on Mae St. and attending church at LFBC. She always had a wonderful smile for everyone. She will be missed by all the people that knew her. We can be sure that our temporary earthly homes and bodies are nothing when compared with those homes and bodies of perfection that we will one day have in heaven. Today, Harriett is certainly a recipient of restored health and a beautiful heavenly home. May God use your friends and family to give you the comfort you need as you grieve and continue to celebrate Harriett's life. Due to sickness, we will be unable to attend the service for Harriett. We will continue to remember you in our prayers. George & Bobry Jackson

Harriett and I have been friends since 1st grade. Our classroom was in the basement next to the boiler room. I remember getting our polio vaccine together that year. In high school she's the one I went to to get my hair 'teased" for a special event. We shared too many of these to count. We loved going to school dances, the skating rink and homes where all our friends would gather to have fun. Most of all we loved going to football games. Our senior year we were co-drum majorettes and that made Friday nights really special. I always thought she was beautiful and wanted to look like her. I love you my friend. I'll see you soon.
