Glenda Angel
Easley, SC
Mrs. Glenda Angel went home to be with her Lord and Savior January 29, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family that she loved so very much. She was born September 26, 1943 in Erwin, Tennessee to the late Fred Chandler and Daisy Bell Thompson Chandler.
Glenda was a kind, caring woman who lived her life to take care of others. She adored her role as nana to all her grandchildren. She touched the lives of those around her and was a compassionate soul that loved the Lord and humming her way through her daily tasks. She found passion in her computer games, crime shows, working her way through a good word search or crossword puzzle, or sharing the gospel through her singing with her cherished family. Whether it was chicken and dumplings, a Saturday Morning breakfast, or a holiday feast, Glenda always looked forward to cooking homemade meals for her large family. She was a member of Cannon Mountain Baptist Church.
Mrs. Angel is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bob Angel; cherished daughters Wendy Angel of the home and Sherry Hollingsworth (Tommy). Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Jeremy Angel (Rebecca), Heather Edmond (Nathan), Josh Angel (Kimberly), Natasha Stamey (Chris), and Christian Angel of the home; 9 great-grandchildren, Carter and Braylen Edmond, Braden and Blane Stamey, Alex and Annabel Peraza, Landon Coleman, Jason Farmer, and Jaxson Angel.
In addition to her parents, Glenda was predeceased by a son, Denny Angel, her son-in-Law, Tim Greathouse, and a sister Priscilla “Prissy” Bailey.
The family would like to give their sincere gratitude to Heather and the staff of Open Arms Hospice for their amazing care, insight, and compassion in the final days of Glenda’s journey home.
