Eydie Pilgrim Robinson, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2024, at the age of 72. Eydie was born on November 6, 1951, in LaFrance, South Carolina, she was the widow of Franklin DeLane Robinson and a daughter of the late David Edrew Pilgrim.
She dedicated her life to her family and her career in the hospitality industry. After obtaining her high school diploma from DW Daniel High School, she joined forces with her loving husband, Frank Robinson, and together they worked tirelessly at TravelEze Motel of Easley for over two decades. Eydie’s dedication to her work and her innate ability to create unforgettable experiences led her to a successful retirement from Fairfield Marriott Hotels in 2000.
Eydie was not only a hardworking professional but also a loving and devoted family woman. The times she spent with her loved ones were the moments she cherished most. Whether it was hosting family gatherings, sharing laughter-filled meals, or simply enjoying the company of her children and grandchildren, Eydie’s love and warmth created lasting memories for all who knew her.
Surviving is her mother Christine Maxey Pilgrim of Central; her two daughters, Misty Gomez-Cortes (Alfredo) of Easley, and Heather Black (Philip) of Easley; a son Travis Robinson of Easley; three sisters, Nancy Greer, Laura Holder, and Cheree Aiken, five brothers, Leroy Pilgrim, Jimmy Pilgrim, Keith Pilgrim, Greg Pilgrim, and Brent Pilgrim; 4 granddaughters, Gabbi Gillespie, Lexi Gillespie, Ella Black, and Lily Grace Black; also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edrew Pilgrim and Danny Pilgrim.
Funeral services to honor Eydie’s life will be conducted 3:00 PM Thursday, January 11, 2024, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at the mortuary.
While her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit, love, and the memories created in her company will forever reside in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. May she find eternal peace and be remembered as a beacon of love and strength.
