Funeral services to honor Mrs. Beeson’s life will be conducted 11:00AM Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel.  Private burial will be held at Liberty Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Flossie Evelyn Crews Beeson, 101, a longtime Liberty resident, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at The Cascades of Greenvlle.  Born in Wauchula, Florida, a nurse and widow of Colonel James M. Beeson, Sr. and a daughter of the late Joseph Crews and Flossie Bailey Crews.   Mrs. Beeson will always be known affectionately as a caregiver by her friends and family and the people who’s life she touched.  She was a devout Christian woman and longtime member of Liberty First Baptist Church and spent her life supporting her husband and raising her family.

Surviving are her 3 sons, Jim Beeson, Jr. (Mary) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, John Beeson (Carmen) of Simpsonville, Joey Beeson (Mary Jane) of Greenville; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren, and 1 great great great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Evelyn Beeson, a grandson, Kent Ashley Beeson, and 14 brothers and sisters.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Liberty First Baptist Church, PO Box 207, Liberty SC 29657, or Lutheran Hospice, 429 N. Main Street, Suite 3, Greenville SC 29601.

When I was 5, Grandma gifted me her piano. I grew up practicing on the keys she gave me, and that piano will forever be a reminder of her wisdom and love. Getting to celebrate 101 years with Grandma Beeson on Christmas Eve was a joy I will never forget. Whether it was listening to her stories around the dinner table or learning about her extensive spoon collection, I will always cherish the time I was able to spend with such an admirable woman. She lived a life worthy of great celebration, which is why I am truly sorry I was not able to attend the service. Love and prayers to all who are missing her infectious smile and laugh today. Liberty has lost the most caring lady that we have ever kinown. She has been missed since she left her home here. Evelyn has left a legacy that will be hard to match. Most of the deeds that she and Jim did were to those in need. I can only imagine the reunion that is taking place in heaven this week.

To the Evelyn Beeson Family So sorry to hear about the loss of our friend, Evelyn. We are blessed to have known Evelyn at First Baptist Church Liberty and in our town and community. We will always remember her smile and readiness to talk. She was a people person and will be missed by all the people that knew her. We can be sure that our temporary earthly homes and bodies are nothing when compared with those homes and bodies of perfection that we will one day have in heaven. Today Evelyn is certainly a recipient of restored health and a beautiful heavenly home. May God use your friends and family to give you the comfort you need as you grieve and continue to celebrate Evelyn's life.
