Elaine Tollison Moore

Elaine Tollison Moore, a beloved member of the community and a cherished mother, peacefully passed away on October 6, 2023, at her residence in Piedmont, SC.
Born on November 24, 1944, in Six Mile, SC, Elaine led a fulfilling life, leaving behind a lasting impact on those who were fortunate to know her. She was a daughter of the late John Alton and Kathleen Chapman Tollison.
Elaine was a dedicated individual who valued education. In 1962, she proudly graduated from Liberty High School, setting the stage for her future achievements. Elaine excelled in her career, working tirelessly as a talented catalog designer for Platt Saco Lowell, where she showcased her remarkable creativity and attention to detail. Later on, she lent her skills to Wise Business Forms, where her talents continued to shine.
Outside of her professional life, Elaine found tremendous joy in gardening and the solace it brought her. The vibrant colors of her blossoming flowers were a testament to her love and dedication to nature’s beauty. In her spare time, she found comfort in the pages of countless books, immersing herself in stories that whisked her away to distant lands and brought characters to life. Elaine’s affection extended to her feline companion Felix, who became a loyal companion during her quiet moments at home.
Above all, Elaine’s most cherished role was that of a mother. She deeply loved her children, Julie Eldridge of Greenville, David Eldridge of Slater, and Matt Eldridge of Easley, and treasured her time spent with them. Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she reveled in the joys of being a grandmother to Michael, Zack, Hannah, Haley, and Gracey Eldridge; she was “GiGi” to 4 great grandchildren, Allison, Kaden, Daphne, and Liam.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Devin Eldridge.
As we reflect on Elaine’s life, we celebrate the remarkable woman she was, remembering her with warmth and admiration. A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Liberty Memorial Gardens. No formal visitation is planned.
Elaine Moore’s legacy will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones and all those whose loves she touched. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, her dedication to her family, and her creative spirit. May she find eternal peace in the embrace of her cherished memories.
