Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Black will be Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the mortuary.

Edna Pauline Bearden Black, 87, of Louns Drive, died Sunday, November 13, 2022 at her residence. Born in Liberty, she was the widow of Homer R. Black and a daughter of the late Cole and Minnie Moore Bearden. Mrs. Black was a homemaker and enjoyed helping others. She loved spending time with her family and was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are her three daughters, Carol Bigham(Tony) of Liberty, Judy Reece(Junior) of Liberty and Sheila Crane of Easley; 2 sons, Johnny Black(Susan) and Homer Ray Taylor(Gorda) both of Liberty; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Merck; three sisters, Rosie Lyda, Helen Samples and Donna Marie; and two brothers, James and Pete Bearden.

the family will be gathering at the home of her daughter, Carol Bigham, 227 Odell Road Liberty, SC.
