Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Gillespie will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. No visitation is planned, and seating for the service will be limited to 50 people.

Della Mae Gillespie, 70, of Liberty, South Carolina, died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Cottingham Hospice House. Born in Brevard, North Carolina she was the widow of John William Gillespie, Sr. and a daughter of the late Thomas and Texie Merck Reynolds.

She was a homemaker and a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Surviving are 3 daughters, Jeannie Youngblood (Randy) of Liberty, Laura King of Pickens, Mary Cox (JW) of Pickens; a sister, Bonnie Brannon of Liberty; 3 sons, Billy Gillespie of Easley, Ricky Gillespie (Tracey) of Liberty, William Gillespie of Liberty; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
