Deborah “Debbie” Iris Roach

It is with a blend of sadness and celebration that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Deborah Iris Williams Roach, who left this world on July 30, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on April 28, 1955, in Elkton, MD, Debbie, as she was affectionately known, was the widow of Gerald Roach and a daughter of the late Jackie and Margie Forrester Williams. She brought joy and light to everyone she encountered.

Debbie was a proud mother who leaves behind her daughter, Shawna Young, and her three sons, Anthony “Tony” Williams (Tanya), Brian Roach (Tiffany), and Jeremy Roach. She also leaves her sisters, Sherry Gallman, Karen Trammell, Jackie Tollison, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Most importantly she leaves behind nine grandchildren, Taylor, Alex, Brittany, Zack, Grace, Danielle, Ethan, Ries, Mason, and a great-grandchild, Naomi, who will forever hold her memory dear to their hearts.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Burgess and a great-grandchild, Damien.

Known for her love of the beach and her cherished visits to Florida, Debbie found happiness in the sun, sand, and surf. More than anything, she thrived on spending time with her family, sharing laughter and creating beautiful memories together. As a devoted follower of Jesus, Debbie spent countless hours in prayer, reflecting on the Word, and surrounded by her church community, which brought her immense joy and purpose. Debbie will be remembered for her work at the Pickens Presbyterian Child Development center where she enjoyed caring for the infants.

Debbie will be remembered not only for her unwavering faith and love of family but also for her kind spirit and infectious smile. She embraced life with open arms and fostered connections that will be treasured forever.

To honor Debbie’s life, family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating her spirit. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM in the sanctuary of Open Praise Fellowship Holiness Church. We will gather in joyful remembrance, sharing stories and laughter in the way Debbie would have loved the most.

Debbie’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness will forever shine in our hearts. Please come and celebrate her wonderful life with us!
