Easley, SC

Dawn Marie Grace Mainzer, 50, of Easley, South Carolina, died Monday, March 6, 2023 at Prisma Health-Baptist Easley. Born in Boston, she was the wife to Kimo Mainzer for over 25 years and a daughter of Gale Tiews Grace of Rochester, NH and the late Joseph Chandler Grace. Mrs. Mainzer was employed at Carolina Nephrology. She loved doing crafts, decorating and watching movies. She loved her dogs but more especially she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Second Chance Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are a daughter, Holly Mainzer of Easley; three sons, Bryan Grace of Anderson, Michael Mainzer of Anderson and Jonathan Mainzer of Easley; two sisters, Veronica Mellen of North Easton, MA and Jennifer Chagnon of Farmington, NH; three brothers, Ted Georgaklis of Boston, MA, Darryl Grace of Quincy, MA, and Matthew Grace of Rochester, NH; her step-mother, Elizabeth Grace of West Roxbury, MA; and three grandchildren, Joseph Grace, Emma Grace and Ivy Crawford.

The family will host a memorial service at Second Chance Church, 3233 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Anderson, SC 29625 on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 12:00 PM.

Delivery of flowers will be accepted prior to the service at the home, 129 Tara Oak Court Easley, SC 29640.

There are no words to express the sorrow we feel for your loss. Dawn is a beautiful soul and her spirit will shine brightly in the beautiful family she created. The family remains in our thoughts and prayers. Dawn, Until that day when the mists have cleared away you'll be thought of often and with great reverence.

Dawn was a beautiful person inside and out I will miss her at all the good times we have at Rick and Kelli’s house and pool and the times we go out to eat after church. Anyone else who knew her has a story about how she had made their life better. She loved her family and she loved Kimo you could see the love in her eyes when she spoke about family. Kimo you are not alone never hesitate to ask anyone of us for anything. You were her soulmate,best friend and her family and her family in Christ. You are in my thoughts and prayers. If you need anything please reach out to her church family or our Bible study group. Thoughts and prayers are with you all and we will continue to pray for you all and help any way possible. I’m so sorry for your loss. I have great memories with you, from dinner after church or a great time by Rick and Kelli’s pool. I’m going to pray for you and your family. I know you have a great support system. I’m just at a loss for words but I know you Kimo can reach out to anyone at church or to Kelli May God give you comfort in your darkest moments. Remember that you have a lot of people who are here for you and your family. Never be afraid to reach out to anyone. You don’t have to go through this alone.

So very sorry to hear of Dawn's passing. She was such a sweet and caring individual. I will think of her fondly as will my son Brandon, who was close to her and Michael when he was younger in elementary school.

My heart is heavy this week to hear of the loss of my beautiful childhood friend and I can only imagine the grief you are feeling as well. Dawn Marie was one of my closest confidants in later high school. She had a most wonderful way of emitting the energy of love and comfort to those around her and I am forever thankful that I was able to call on her friendship during the time of our later teen years! Prayers for comfort in this most difficult time.

You always had a smile to share, time to give and time to care. Always willing to listen, laugh and giggle. Our times together I will treasure forever. Until we meet again, I love you my friend? ❤️Hope
