Clara Tomlinson

Clara Pilgrim Tomlinson, a beloved mother, grandmother, and caregiver, peacefully passed away on August 29, 2024, at her residence. Born in Six Mile, SC on April 30, 1939, she was the widow of Eugene Kenneth “Ken” Tomlinson and a daughter to the late William Clarence and Edna Watson Pilgrim. Clara was a woman of unwavering faith who touched the lives of all she encountered with her kindness and generosity. She was a member of Tremont Church of God.

Throughout her life, Clara found joy in creativity, whether it be through her quilting, ceramics, or tending to her vibrant flower garden. Her artistic talents brought beauty and color to the world around her, reflecting her inner warmth and compassion.

A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Clara’s legacy of love and care will live on in their hearts forever. She leaves behind her daughter, Angela Tomlinson of Piedmont; two sons, Anthony Tomlinson (Shannon) of Travelers Rest and Eric Tomlinson (Danielle) of Moyock, NC; a sister, Rozell Garrison of Liberty; and eight grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Pilgrim.

A visitation in honor of Clara will be held at Liberty Mortuary on September 3, 2024, from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
