Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Parks-Meeks will be private. Burial will be at Westview Cemetery. No formal visitation is planned but her remains will lie in state from 12:00 until 4:00PM Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Liberty Mortuary. Carolyn Anne Parks-Meeks, 80, of Summerville, South Carolina, died Monday, February 15, 2021 at Berkeley Hospital in Summerville. Born in Martinsville, Indiana she was the widow of Jerry D. Parks and a daughter of the late Warner and Norma Ramsey Gregory.
She was an Administrative Assistant in real estate for many years and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Greer.
Surviving is a son, Lance Parks (Dana) of Easley; 3 daughters, Rene Coryell (Ron) of Summerville, Jerri Parks (Jimmie) of Norfolk, VA, and Cheryl Artis (Robert) of Stokesdale, NC; a sister, Norma Holmes; two brothers, Larry Gregory and Melvin Gregory;
also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her second husband, Virgil H. Meeks, a son, J.D. Parks, a granddaughter, Rachel Baker, and four brothers.
