Betty Suttles Honea of Liberty, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the age of 91. She was called to her heavenly home after a brief battle with COVID-related complications. She died peacefully with her loving family by her side.
Born in Westminster, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Rose Suttles. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Honea was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Rev. Willie A Honea, as well as an infant son, Bradley Eugene. Surviving, is their daughter, Beverly Watson (Mike), who lovingly cared for Mrs. Honea until her passing. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Heather Reeves (Dustin), Brandon Watson (Dennies), and Justin Watson; a great-granddaughter, Emma Reeves; and two sisters, Mary Herron and Jean Crawford.
Mrs. Honea was known as a devoted pastor’s wife, a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother, and a faithful member of her church. Perhaps she was best known as a prayer warrior, serving alongside her beloved husband, regularly interceding on behalf of others before God. If Mrs. Honea said she was praying for you, be assured that it was the truth. Mrs. Honea served in various roles in different seasons of their earthly ministry together, and now she is experiencing the joy of reuniting with her husband in the presence of Jesus.
