Funeral services will be conducted 1:00PM Monday, July 25, 2022 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Wesleyan Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Monday from 11:00-12:30 PM at the mortuary.
Betty Grant Hendricks, age 89, of Six Mile, passed away peacefully on Monday July 18, 2022 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Pickens she was the widow of Charles Vando Hendricks, and a daughter of the late Henry Clyde and Cora Victoria Holcombe Grant.
Mrs. Hendricks was a long time member of Mt. Olivet Wesleyan Church. During her working career she worked for Dr. Albert J. Reinovsky, and later for the Acker Law Firm. She loved to read and watch Western movies.
Surviving are a daughter, Cathy Looper (Stan) of Piedmont; two sons, Rev. Michael G. Hendricks of Hobe Sound, FL, and Kevin V. Hendricks (Wanda) of Central; 7 grandchildren, Michelle Hendricks, Carmen Hendricks, Stephanie Hendricks, Beth Hendricks, Anna Eaton (Chad), Tori Looper, and Will Hendricks (Lindsey); also surviving are 12 great grandchildren: a brother, Pat Grant (Kathy) of Easley.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials may be made Hospice House of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson SC 29621.

Cathy, Kevin and Michael, your Mother was the classic Southern Lady with “spunk”! I loved her!
I nicknamed your Dad the Mayor of Six Mile and your Mother the First Lady! Your Mother always made me feel special. She was intelligent and helpful.
I am very disappointed that I will not be able to make your Mother’s Service Monday. I had a heart procedure performed this morning that was scheduled well over a month ago. My activities are partially restricted, especially my auto driving. My restrictions will be removed in time for me to make our reunion, Sunday, July 31.
I was so proud of how each of you honored your Mother as she awaited the fulfillment of God’s Will! You will forever treasure every aspect of those last days, hours and seconds that you were able to spend with her!
God loved your Mother and called her home! What a precious Gift Jesus made possible. If we Love Jesus and Claim Him as Our Savior, we will be rewarded as Jesus has promised!
I love my dear Cousins and offer my support as you confront the grief you face due to the loss of your Mother!
