Funeral services to honor the life of Mrs. Gillespie will be conducted 2:00PM Wednesday, April 27, 2022 in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be at Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM at the mortuary prior to the service.

Barbara Ann Gillespie, 73, of 164 Windy Court, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at her home. Born in Seneca she was a daughter of the late James Vernon and Iris Ellenburg Crowe.

She was a homemaker and attended King’s Grove Baptist Church. Barbara loved her family with all that she had and was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. She also loved her flowers and her dogs.

Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Roger Gillespie of the home; a son Dale Gillespie (Melanie) of Central; a daughter Kimberly Gillespie of Central; two grandchildren, Karly Gillespie and Kyle Gillespie of Central; four sisters, Lavada Meyer of Easley, Evelyn Seigle of Central, Bennie Ruth Turner of Seneca, and Bonnie Crowe of Salem; two brothers, Donnie Crowe of Six Mile, and Elvis Crowe of Seneca.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Brenice Crowe, Norma Martin, and Betty Jean Taylor, and four brothers, James, Jay Harold “Jake”, Dempsey, and Roger Crowe.
