Private services for the family will be held at Liberty Memorial Gardens.
Wallace Ray York, 78, of Pickens, South Carolina, died Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Prisma Health-Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Easley, he was a son of the late Roy and Gertrude Esuary York.
He graduated from Pickens High School, and later retired from Mayfair Mills in Pickens.
Mr. York was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Linda York of the home; a daughter, Tamara Holloway (Dale) of Dacusville; 2 grandchildren, Jessica Holloway, and Chance Holloway; two great grandchildren, Charity and Liam; also surviving is a brother, Bill York (Rachel) of Liberty.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Carlos York.
