With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Terry Lamarr Wood, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Born in Greenville, SC on May 6, 1947, he peacefully passed away on March 7, 2024, at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson surrounded by his family.

He was known for his strong work ethic, pursued a career as an engineer in the laundry industry, dedicating his days to AmeriPride Services. He took pride in his service to the country, serving in the US Army National Guard from August 15, 1966, until his discharge on April 10, 1972, achieving the rank of Specialist.

Graduating from Easley High School in 1965, Terry was not just a hardworking professional but also a dedicated family man. When not at work, Terry could be found on the golf course or out fishing, embracing the calming outdoors. Known for his gentle spirit and playful nature, Terry adored spending time with his grandsons, creating lasting memories and bonds that will live on in their hearts forever.

Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Jenette G. Wood of the home; a daughter, Rhonda Wilson (Scott) of Easley; two grandsons, Taylor Wilson and Ryan Wilson.

A visitation to honor and remember Terry’s life will be held at Liberty Mortuary on March 11, 2024, from 6:00 until 7:30 PM.

As we grieve his loss, let us remember Terry for the joy and love he brought to our lives. May his legacy of hard work, devotion, and cherished family moments continue to inspire us all.
