Sam Rhodes

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Samuel Lewis “Sam” Rhodes, who left us peacefully on March 20, 2025, at Anderson Area Medical Center. Born on February 7, 1964, in Greenwood, South Carolina he was a son of the late Marion Lee and Brenda Lewis Rhodes.

He was a born tinkerer, always finding joy in fixing things and exploring new projects, a trait that endeared him to those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Zachary Rhodes (Hope) of Easley and Brandon Rhodes of Welford. He is also survived by his brothers, Steve Rhodes and Chris Rhodes, who, along with Sam’s sons, will always cherish the memories they created together.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his fiancé, Bessie Darby.

His warmth, sense of humor, and adventurous spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to share in his life.

Samuel Lewis Rhodes will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

Sam’s request was to be cremated, and the family have a memorial visitation from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday March 27, 2025, at the Liberty Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to a humane society of your choice.
