It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Samuel Caleb Owens on August 15, 2026.
Born on May 20, 1974, in Greenville, South Carolina, he was a dedicated father, a loving son, a supportive brother, a motorcycle enthusiast. He grew up in Liberty and was a 1993 graduate of Liberty High School. He later furthered his education in megatronics at Greenville Technical College.
Caleb spent many years working at Shaw Industries in Central before transitioning to First Quality in Anderson, where he worked the past decade, and most recently served as an operations maintenance coordinator. His work ethic and commitment were admired by colleagues and friends alike. Outside of work, Caleb’s true joy came from the adventures he shared with his family. He cherished every moment spent exploring new places, whether alone or with loved ones. Most importantly, Caleb cared for his family above all things. He was devoted to his parents and children and spent his life in service to both.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved children, Emily Corbin (Tim), Caleb Owens, Carlie Tillotson (Kendall), and Triston Owens. He will also be deeply missed by his parents, Jimmy and Margaret Owens, as well as his siblings, Jennie Roper, Lamar Owens (Sheila), Dallas Owens and April Abercrombie (Donnie). He is also survived by his precious grandchildren, Molly, Augustus, KayliePage, Sophie, Knox, Talulah, and Margaret.
Funeral services to honor Caleb’s life be conducted on Friday, August 21, 2026, in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the mortuary.

As we gather to remember Caleb, let us share our stories and celebrate the beautiful moments he brought into our lives. In honoring him, let us also remember the love and dedication Caleb had for his family, and the joy he found in every ride and every adventure. Caleb will forever be in our hearts.
