Memorial services to honor Roger’s life will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at the American Legion Hut, Post 151, 375 Garvin Road, Liberty SC 29657.

Roger Dale McNeely, 73, of Liberty, died August 13, 2022 at Anderson Area Medical Center. Born in Greenville he was a son of the late Melvin K. and Daisy Stokes McNeely.

Roger was a United States Army Veteran having fought valiantly during the Vietnam War. He was a former commander of the American Legion Post #151 in Norris, SC.

Surviving are a son, Marty McNeely of Anderson; his longtime companion and special friend, Diane Patterson, along with her daughter, Talina Fleming and her son, Cody Fleming; also surviving are a brother, Randy McNeely of Liberty; three sisters, Charlene Nix of Pickens, Sandra Johnson and Judy Rackley both of Easley; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Roger “Scooter” McNeely.
